AP Biology Evolution Proficiency Scale: We will be using Standards Based Grading in this class. This is the proficiency scale specific to this unit.
Study Guide: Evolution Questions 1-12 Due on Aug 29th. Questions 13-21 Due on Sept 8th You will need to read Chapter 26,1-26,2 and 26,3 to answer these so start reading this weekend.
Hardy-Weinberg Genetic Equilibrium Lab: Working with spreadsheets can be frustrating because you need to be very precise. If you are not careful, you will spend much of your time hunting down bugs, trying to get the spreadsheet to work. Take your time and focus to keep this from taking place. Keep in mind, the spreadsheet is powerful and flexible, but you need to tell it exactly what you want it to calculate in a language that it understands.

Lab Write Up Instructions: Pick a factor that can effect Evolution (Selection is the easiest choice, but if you feel adventurous, please feel free!) Make a Hypothesis about how this will effect allele frequencies in your populations over time and then, using your simulations collect some data and determine if your hypothesis is supported or not.
Lab Write Up Rubric: Use this to help guide you through your first write up attempt. Please have this ready to turn in on Sept 8th. You will get revision notes and have a chance to resubmit for a final grade.

He is a big deal in the AP Biology community. They are Prezi presentations, but you should be able to view them from the links I am providing. If not, come in and let me know so we can work out the glitches.
